On Monday, April 1, 2024, the authors published an article titled “Some Good News and Some Not so Good News About the Impact of Trust Reporting Requirements on Charities and NFPs” Although the filing deadline for T3s of April 2, 2024 has come and gone, the authors still feel that there is a need for the CRA to provide more clarity concerning the difference in filing requirements and applicable exemptions between bare trusts and express trust.
