G.REMEDIES
1.Oppression Remedy
•Exists only in the CNCA
•Is an order that a court may make if it is satisfied that any act or omission, or conduct of the activities or affairs of the corporation or the exercise of the powers of the directors or officers is oppressive or unfairly prejudicial to or unfairly disregards the interests of any shareholder, creditor, director, officer or member
•The powers of the court for orders in satisfying a finding of oppression are considerable, including that the corporation “or any other person” pay a member all or part of the membership fee amount
•The court is precluded from making an order for an oppression remedy in the case of a “religious corporation” (see below)
