U. Shen Goh LL.B., LL.M., Trade-mark Agent
Ms. Goh practices out of the Mississauga office and focuses primarily on intellectual property and
privacy law, as well as human rights and employment litigation. She is a registered Trade-mark
Agent. After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2001, Ms. Goh went on to obtain her
LL.M. in 2003 from the University of San Diego School of Law, where her research focus was on
the international protection of well-known trade-marks, and where she and received the School of
Law Merit Scholarship, as well as the Honorable Lillian Y. Lim Scholarship. Ms. Goh's experience
prior to joining Carters includes being a Law Lecturer on international trade regulation, legal
research & writing, and other fundamental courses in law for Ph.D. students and government
officials at the Southwest University of Political Science & Law in China, as well as interning at the
City of Toronto, the City of San Diego, and Parkdale Community Legal Services in Toronto.
Ms. Goh is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, as well as the Privacy,
Intellectual Property and Employment Sections of the Ontario Bar Association. Ms. Goh has
written articles for The Lawyers Weekly, the Canadian Association eZine, and Carters' Charity
Law Bulletin, as well as co-authored the Branding & Trade-Marks Handbook for Charitable and
Not-For-Profit Organizations (Butterworths, 2006).
